Compression Stockings

Compression stockings play an important part in the treatment of varicose veins. By applying the external compression of the compression stockings to the superficial veins, it prevents the blood from pooling in the leg veins. This in turn reduces or eliminates symptoms such as leg fatigue, pain, heaviness, and swelling. Wearing compression stockings will temporarily alleviate the symptoms, but will not cure the underlying problem.
